A Philadelphia couple is accused of stealing from beachgoers at the Jersey Shore on the 4th of July.

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia couple is behind bars for allegedly stealing items from bags on a New Jersey beach over the holiday weekend.

Police say beach-goers in North Wildwood saw 36-year-old Kelly Costanzo and her husband, 39-year-old Larry Hall, taking the items on Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses alerted authorities, who found Costanzo with her three children, ages 12, 9 and 6.

Hall had already fled the scene.

He was arrested nearby, in possession of $500 cash and a stolen cell phone.

Costanzo and Hall have been charged with child endangerment and theft.

Hall is being held on $35,000 bail. Costanzo is being held on $25,000 bail.

The couple's children have been placed with a relative through the New Jersey Department of Children and Families.
