Police: 2 women attacked, robbed in Kensington

Philadelphia police are looking for a man who attacked and robbed 2 women in the city's Kensington section.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a suspect who assaulted and robbed two women at a bus stop in the city's Kensington section.

It happened on October 31 at 11:15 p.m.

Police say the two women were waiting for the bus on the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue when an unknown man started talking to them.

An altercation began and the suspect struck one of the women on the cheek with an unknown object, cutting her.

He then attacked the second woman, cutting her on the forehead with the same object.

The suspect then grabbed the women's purses and fled east on Allegheny Avenue.

The victims were transported to Temple hospital and treated for their injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 35 years-of-age, 5'7" tall, walks with a limp, medium build, medium complexion, full beard and mini Afro. He was wearing a striped jacket and dark Capri pants.
