Police say a patient of an assisted living facility was found dead after falling into a ravine in West Deptford, New Jersey.

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a patient of an assisted living facility was found dead after falling into a ravine in West Deptford, New Jersey.

According to authorities, this is not a suspicious death.

The discovery was made Saturday evening at Forest Creek Lane and Wood Hollow Drive.

The scene is near Manor Care Health Services, which houses both short-term and long-term residents.

Action News has learned that the victim is a 65-year-old man who lived at the facility.

Sources say it was noticed that the man was missing from his room and soon after his body was found.

Investigators say it appears that the man walked off the grounds, which he is allowed to do, and somehow fell into the ravine.

The victim's family has not yet been identified so his identity is being withheld.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Autopsy results are pending.
