Police say a man was fatally shot during an apparent argument with his roommate in Audubon, New Jersey.

AUDUBON, NJ (WPVI) -- Police say a man was fatally shot during an apparent argument with his roommate in Audubon, New Jersey.

The incident happened around 3:00 a.m. in an apartment on the 400 block of the White Horse Pike.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says 50-year-old William Clark called 911 and told them he shot his roommate 51-year-old Steven Johnston.

Police arrived to find Johnston dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators say Clark later told police that he shot Johnston after getting upset during a conversation.

Clark was taken into custody facing first degree murder charges. He is being held on $500,000 bail.
