Police ID victim in fatal New Castle hit-and-run

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- New Castle County police have identified the victim in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

Police say 52-year-old Victor Madric was hit late Saturday night at Anderson and Morehouse drives in New Castle.

Police believe alcohol was a factor.

A witness told police shortly before the accident, the victim was lying on the ground as a light-colored or white sedan ran over the victim and fled down Anderson Drive.

Anyone with tips on the vehicle or the driver is urged to call police.
