Police are investigating what appears to be an abduction in Fairmount Park.

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Police are investigating what appears to be an abduction in Fairmount Park.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 3200 block of Sedgely Drive.

Police say a witnesses reported seeing a black female being forced into a 2004 blue Pontiac Grand Prix.

The vehicle has tinted windows and a partial PA tag with the first two letters: JT.

Authorities say it appears the man and woman knew each other and that they had some sort of argument beforehand.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a black scully cap.

The vehicle was last seen travelling westbound on Girard Avenue and headed onto Kelly Drive.
