Police investigate home invasion in Point Breeze

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a home invasion and attempted robbery in Philadelphia's Point Breeze section early Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 5:00 a.m. on the 1700 block of South Chadwick Street.

Police say a black male broke into a house through an unlocked front window and attempted to rob a woman inside.

He allegedly assaulted the woman and she suffered minor injuries.

He then fled and nothing was taken from the home.

Police are talking to the victim to gather more information.
