Police investigate luring attempt near Reading school

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Parents are on high alert after a man in a SUV attempted to lure a young girl on her way to school.

The Southwest Middle School student was approached while walking near Millmont Elementary in Reading on Tuesday morning.

The young girl was able to contact her father and was not hurt.

School officials say their security team is working with the Reading police to get to the bottom of this.
