WILLOW GROVE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials in Montgomery County are investigating an attempted luring in Willow Grove.

Upper Moreland police say an older model, dark blue Jeep pulled up to a 12-year-old boy near Woodlawn and Silver Avenues Tuesday morning.

The driver, only described as a white or Hispanic man in his 30s, allegedly told the child he knew his parents and they said he could drive him home.

The boy ran away and contacted police.

Investigators say the Jeep may have been a Liberty or Patriot and may have had 173 in the license plate.

If you have any information on the attempted luring, contact police.
