Police investigate shooting in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say what appeared to be a barricade situation following a shooting in West Philadelphia is over after no one was found inside the home.

Police were called out to the 7400 block of Ruskin Rd at around 1 p.m. Monday for a shooting.

There, police discovered a male shot. His condition is not clear.

Police were told the shooter, an unknown male, ran inside a home on the 7300 block of Malvern Avenue.

However, around 3:50 p.m., police say there was no one inside the home.
