Police officer opens fire on suspect in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials say a police officer fired shots at a suspect following a foot pursuit in North Philadelphia.

It started around 1:00 a.m. Monday on North Colorado Street and ended on the 2400 block of North 17th Street.

Police say the officer was chasing a suspect when he fired two shots. The suspect was not hit and got away.

Police are looking for that person.

Investigators have not said what triggered the chase.
