A suspect who robbed a bank in Wilmington and fled was apprehended thanks to some quick police work.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. Thursday at a Fulton Bank branch in the 600 block of South Harrison Street.

Investigators say the male suspect entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled.

The suspect's description was broadcast over police dispatch.
