Police recruit injured in motorcycle crash in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A police recruit was injured after a motorcycle accident in North Philadelphia.

The accident happened around 6:40 p.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of North Girard Avenue.

Police say the motorcycle was sideswiped by a vehicle.

The 24-year-old male struck his leg on a concrete pillar and sustained a large cut.

He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in stable condition.
