Police searching for man after Roxborough barricade

ROXBOROUGH (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the lookout for a Roxborough man that gave them the slip after a barricade situation.

The incident started shortly after 9:00 p.m. Friday on the 400 block of Delmar Street.

The man was involved in a street altercation, then as police responded he fled to a house where it's believed he held police at bay for the better part of an hour.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police gained access to the house and learned the man was no longer inside.

He's believed to be on foot.

Officers found at least one gun inside the home.

The man is described as a 45-year-old white man, 5'11", clean shaven, wearing a light green shirt and khakis.

Anyone with information pertaining to the man's identity and/or whereabouts is asked to contact police.
