A New Jersey high school student was arrested after posting a tweet.

GLOUESTER CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- An 18-year-old Gloucester City High School student has been arrested after police noticed what they deemed to be an 'inappropriate tweet.'

The Gloucester City Police Department say they became aware of the tweet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Action News has confirmed with police the student's tweet read: "This school is about to blow up cuz of these Saturdays."

Police say based on the tweet the student, identified as Jason Zold from Brooklawn, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with terroristic threats.

The school was evacuated and bomb sniffing dogs were brought in as a precaution.

Police say once the school was deemed safe, students were returned to class.

Comments posted to the Gloucester City Police Department's Facebook page suggest the student was using a figure of speech and slang when he tweeted his statement.
