Police: Tree-trimming truck hits vehicle into New Castle house

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the driver of a tree-trimming truck accused of slamming his vehicle into a parked car in New Castle, Delaware.

Police say the truck hit a Chevrolet Avalanche at approximately 1:45 a.m. Sunday on the unit block of Cawdor Lane in the Coventry Development of New Castle County.

The force of the collision sent the Avalanche into a house.

The house sustained serious damage.

The New Castle County building inspector is trying to determine if the house is safe to live in.

There are no reports of injuries.
