UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say they have arrested the man who was allegedly found sneaking in to women's bedrooms in Upper Darby.

The suspect is identified as 21-year-old Tyrell Booker of Yeadon, Pa.

The break-ins started in April at an apartment in the Stonehurst section of Upper Darby.

There were four more incidents that police know of, with the most recent one being in late June.

However the suspect is charged with just one, because the 16-year-old victim is the only one who got a good look at him.

He apparently followed the teen home after approaching her on the street.

The girl's mother showed Action News how he got into their apartment later that night by entering through an unlocked sliding door.

Four similar incidents followed with terrified women waking to find a man standing near their beds.

He allegedly groped one of the victims and appeared to use his cellphone to make a video of another.

Police feared he was getting bolder and more dangerous.

"Thank God, thank God that he didn't hurt anybody. We were scared of the potential, his brazenness was increasing, the potential for violence in any one of these was astronomical," said Supt. Michael Chitwood.

The first victim was the only one to get a good look at the suspect. She described him down to a gap in his front teeth and was able to quickly pick Booker out of a photo array.

Police had actually stopped him on the street in the same neighborhood two days after the first attack, but let him go.

Booker had spent several years in jail on a burglary charge and was released in December. The break-ins began a few months later.

Police say they believe Booker stalked the victims before slipping into their bedrooms under the cover of darkness.

He is being held on $100,000 bail as they continue to build their case, hoping to connect him to all five incidents.
