Police: Woman arrested after walking topless in Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a woman was arrested after she was seen walking topless in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Officers were called to the first block of Wilmington Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Saturday night.

There they found Jennie Lee Martin, 37, of Chevy Chase, Md. walking without a shirt on.

Police say Martin put a shirt on when asked to by officers.

Officers say they soon learned she had spit on a man and yelled profanities at him when he asked her to cover up.

Police say that incident was witnessed by a nine-year-old child.

As they tried to take her into custody, police say Martin resisted arrest and had to be forcefully restrained.

Police say they found marijuana after searching her purse, along with a broken pipe. She also smelled of alcohol, police say.

Martin is charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.

She is behind held on $1,500 secured bail.
