Police: Woman attacked, dragged at Bensalem playground

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say a woman was attacked and dragged by her hair while at a Bensalem playground.

It happened around 3:15 Thursday afternoon at the Struble Elementary playground on the 4300 block of Bensalem Boulevard.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman, told police she was approached by an unknown male.

After engaging her in conversation the victim says the suspect punched her in the chest, knocking her to the ground.

The woman also told police the suspect grabbed her by the hair and dragged her several feet before she was able to break free. She suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, possibly Middle Eastern (Indian) or Hispanic. He was last seen wearing a black beanie type cap, a long sleeve white shirt and black pants. He's also said to have had a large circular nose ring and a slight amount of facial hair.

The victim told police she saw the same man in the back parking lot of the school prior to the incident.
