Woman hurt while running from shots fired at Wilmington crowd

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- New Castle County police are investigating after a woman was hurt running from shots fired in Wilmington.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the unit block of South Ford Avenue.

Police say a red car pulled up to a crowd, and someone in the car fired into the crowd.

A woman in the crowd began running and injured her face. She was hit by several tree branches.

She was taken to Wilmington Hospital.

No arrests have been made.
