PoliticalFest bringing fun events to DNC week

If you are not a delegate to the upcoming Democratic National Convention later this month, the party' setting up multiple attractions at various local cultural venues.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If you are not a delegate to the upcoming Democratic National Convention later this month or don't have a VIP ticket to get into the Wells Fargo Center where the elite will meet and coronate the nominee, the party' setting up multiple attractions at various local cultural venues.

The National Constitution Center is the hub beginning Friday, July 22nd.

"We are encouraging everyone to start here, visit the Headed to the White House exhibit, followed by our main stage theater where we are going to be having live interviews, political speeches, and our games - political trivia and political feud. It should be a lot of excitement. Get started here and then move out to the other venues," Audrey Schneider of PolitcalFest said.

PoliticalFest features non-partisan exhibits and displays designed to engage residents and convention attendees alike at seven unique locations around town from the Liberty Museum on lower Chestnut Street to the Library of Philadelphia at 13th and Locust.

Tickets will be free for veterans and convention attendees.

"Convention week is going to be really fun for Philadelphians even if you're not a credentialed guest and you can't go to the Wells Fargo Center for the event, there's a ton of really fun open to the public activities that the host committee has planned," Anna Adams-Sarthou of the DNC Host Committee said.

Other events include a food feast in Old City and a massive happy hour in Center City.

Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust Street

Ticket prices will be $15 for adults. Tickets must be purchased online.
