FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A man and a pregnant woman were hospitalized after being shot while sitting on the front steps of a home in Philadelphia's Frankford section.

The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday on the 4100 block of Paul Street.

Police said the victims, a 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman who is eight months pregnant, were hit after eleven shots were fired. The man was shot in the back and the woman in the leg.

"I was just sitting down, then I heard gunshots. ... After I got in the house, I realized I got shot," said the female victim.

The baby was not harmed during the shooting, the victim added.

The victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said. The woman has since been released.

Police believe the gunman was at least 30 feet away when the incident occurred.

Police said two male suspects fled the scene in a white, four-door Cadillac. One was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and the other a red hooded sweatshirt.

Police said they spent Friday retrieving surveillance footage in the Frankford area.

"Two guys in the video, you do see one with a gun," said Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum with the Philadelphia Police Department.

"We do believe that there was two different caliber guns from the evidence we collected," Rosenbaum said.

Police said they plan to release the footage Friday night in hopes of getting the public's help with assisting in the investigation.

No motive for the shooting has been established, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department by dialing 911.
