Philadelphia Police say a homeowner stabbed an intruder multiple times in the buttocks as he tried to escape from a first floor apartment.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police say a homeowner stabbed an intruder multiple times in the buttocks as he tried to escape from a first floor apartment.

Police believe the man was trying to steal electronics from the apartment located in the unit block of North 9th street.

The man was trying to squeeze through an open window to get away.

The resident of the property told police he stabbed the suspect multiple times in the behind before the suspect was able to get away.

Police say he fled north on nearby Filbert Street.
