A fire in a first floor office area of the Cooper River Apartment Complex South forced the evacuation of residents.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A fire in a first floor office area of the Cooper River Apartment Complex South forced the evacuation of residents.

The fire on the 5100 bock of North Park Drive in Pennsauken was reported just after midnight Monday morning.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in 30 minutes, but had to break out the windows of the office that was on fire.

Crews from surrounding communities were called into assist firefighters.

Residents were evacuate floor by floor.

Many of them waited on the street for firefighters to complete their work.

Nobody was hurt in the fire.
