Ribbon Cutting in the William Penn School district
The first charter school ever in the William Penn School district opens its doors

LANSDOWNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- The first charter school ever in the William Penn School district opened its doors Tuesday in Lansdowne, Delaware County.

Officials came to cut the ribbon on Vision Academy Charter school here on East Baltimore Pike.

Former mayor Jaqueline Mosley congratulated the district. She was the first to push for charter schools 20 years ago, so it's a goal accomplished.
