Roosevelt Boulevard Extension reopens after multi-vehicle crash

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The northbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard Extension (Route 1) have reopened after a multi-vehicle crash approaching Broad Street.

The accident happened at 6 a.m. Friday.

Action News is told the crash involved a disabled tractor and two other vehicles.

One SUV ended up on the concrete median.

There was no immediate word on the number or extent of any injuries.

All northbound lanes were shut down as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wrecked vehicles.

The lanes were back open by 7 a.m. Traffic delays were expected to persist.
