BRIDGETON, N.J. (WPVI) -- More than 100 people gathered in Bridgeton, New Jersey on Saturday for a march against police brutality.

Protesters from as far away as Newark came to Bridgeton to have their voices heard.

Their focus, the December 30th fatal shooting of Jerame Reid by Bridgton police officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley.

Their intent is to keep the pressure on those in power.

Larry Ham of Newark said, "We want justice for Jerame Reid. He was unarmed when he was killed by the police. We feel that was wrong. We feel the police who killed him must be held accountable."

Dash cam video show police following and stopping the car Reid was the passenger in.

Reid had a criminal record and was known to police.

In the video, the officers can be heard ordering Reid not to move.

Reid exits the car hands outstretched as police fire.

Protesters say the video shows Reid was unarmed with his hands in plain view, and that the officers should be charged.

Cecille Hepburn of Newark tells us, "It made no sense. His hands was up. What more do they want?"

The fatal shooting is being investigated by a grand jury. Bridgeton's mayor, Albert Kelly, the town's first African American mayor, was at the march today.

His mayor's advice for everyone was to wait and see what the official investigation reveals.

Mayor Kelly said, "We can make a judgment after the investigation is concluded and the recommendation from the prosecutor's office has been made. I continue to ask people to be patient, be tolerant."
