Second suspect arrested in deadly shooting of father in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Police have captured a man wanted in the deadly shooting of a father in Germantown, who police say was an innocent driver who unknowingly drove right into the middle of a shootout.

Nineteen-year-old Saykou Monte was arrested on Friday. A third unidentified male was also taken into police custody.

Monte was allegedly in a gun battle with 18-year-old Jameil Byrd late last month.

Byrd was arrested on Aug. 18 and charged with the murder of Alsharay Ford.

Ford was driving with his 3-year-old daughter when they were caught in the crossfire.

She was in the backseat and unharmed.
