Police say 27-year-old Stephen Mixon was killed in a murder-suicide in Berks County last week.

Police say the shooting deaths of two Pottstown area men inside a car in eastern Berks County last week has been ruled a murder-suicide.

According to police, 20-year-old Joseph McCullough III shot and killed 27-year-old Stephen Mixon, before turning a .38 caliber revolver on himself.

Mixon was a volunteer football manager at the Pottsgrove High School.

Shellie Feola, superintendent of the Pottsgrove School District said, "We are working through it and bonding together as a community and trying to just understand what happened and also celebrate Stephen's life and all of the things that he has done..."

A memorial is planned at the stadium at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators offered no motive for the murder-suicide.
