Shooting victim dies at hospital in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for answers after a shooting victim showed up at the hospital with his friend and later died in North Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. when the victim arrived to Temple University Hospital's emergency room.

Police believe the shooting took place in the area of 17th and Luzerne Streets in the Tioga-Nicetown section.

They taped off the crime scene to investigate, but have not said a motive.

The victim's name has not been released.
