Shooting victim stumbles into Philadelphia fire station

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting near a North Philadelphia fire station.

The shooting occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Police say a 34-year-old man stumbled into the fire station at 26th and York streets suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.

Medics rushed him to Temple University Hospital for care.

Police later determined the man had been shot along the 2600 block of Hagert Street.

The search for a suspect continues.
