St. Joe's University has settled lawsuits filed by two former softball players who say they were the victims of hazing.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Court papers indicate that St. Joseph's University has settled lawsuits filed by former athletes alleging they were the victims of hazing and sexual misconduct.

The two former members of the women's softball team claimed the university and the coach knew of the culture of hazing on the team, and did nothing to stop it from occurring.

It is alleged the freshman players were forced to consume alcohol, perform sexual acts involving inappropriate touching and lap dances, and other graphic acts.

The university suspended the team in May with three games left in the season amid an investigation into the hazing allegations.

An investigator hired by the university concluded that no staff members violated school policy.
