PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Severe weather knocked out power to some in our region overnight.

PECO had about 7,000 customers without power before dawn on Monday. That number was down to less than 1,500 in the 5-county area by noon.

PPL was reporting about 1,000 outages at noon, down from 3,000 earlier. Most of those were in Lancaster, Cumberland and York Counties.

PSE&G was down from 3,000 outages to less than 500 by 9:00 a.m., but was reporting more than 2,000 by noon. The vast majority of those were in North Jersey. It was not clear if the new outages were storm-related.

AC Electric and Delmarva all only had a handful of outages reported.
