ROXBOROUGH (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are trying to determine if a string of 7-Eleven robberies are connected.

All three of the crimes happened in the Roxborough section of the city.

One robbery occurred around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday on the 6100 block of Ridge Avenue.

Police say a man walked into the store, pointed a gun in the clerk's face, and demanded money.

He fled with $300 in his bag.

Then, only 20 minutes later, police received a call about another armed robbery, a mile and a half down the road.

Surveillance shows a man in a sweatshirt with a white mask.

He too held the clerk at gunpoint and asked for all the money in the cash drawer.

The third situation happened back on May 23rd.

A suspect went to the 7-Eleven on the 5600 block of Ridge Avenue and pretended to have a gun.

The worker refused demands to open the register and the suspect left without taking anything.

If you know something about any of these three crimes, you are asked to call police.
