A report of a student with a weapon prompts a lockdown at a Philadelphia high school.

FELTONVILLE (WPVI) -- The lockdown at Thomas Edison High School in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia has been lifted after reports of a student with a weapon.

The lockdown went into effect around 11 a.m. Thursday.

Philadelphia police tell Action News they received a call concerning reports of a weapon inside the school.

A lockdown was in effect at Thomas Edison High School.

The lockdown was lifted just after 12 p.m.

The school is located on the 150 block of Luzerne Street near Front.

No weapon has been recovered and no injuries have been reported.
