Students honored for summer break accomplishments

PHILADELPHIA -- Nearly a dozen students were honored today, for what they did during summer break.

Ten young readers were given special diplomas from the Free Library of Philadelphia.

They excelled at the library's "summer of wonder" Reading program.

The students were nominated by their librarians.

The 8 week program encouraged kids and teens not only to read but to explore other learning opportunities during their summer break.
