Police are searching for the armed suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have released surveillance video of an armed suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. at the store located on the 1400 block of Cottman Avenue.

Police say the cashier was followed into the store by an armed suspect who demanded cash.

The gunman made off with $160 in cash then fled on foot.

He was last seen running south through the parking lot.

There were no reports of injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years-old, 5'8 tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans, blue and white bandana covering his face and armed with a handgun.
