HOLMESBURG (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police released surveillance video they hope will help them catch the hit-and-run driver that struck and killed a woman in Holmesburg.

The victim, 33-year-old Theresa Pozzi, was killed back on December 23rd.

The surveillance video was captured from a business along State Road.

That night Pozzi was attempting to cross the street in the 8100 block of State Road. She made it to the center lane when police say the driver of an older model pickup truck struck her.

This video was captured just seconds after.

"It appears to be a much older model. We still can't tell if it's a tow truck but it has an older body style," said Sgt. Joseph Rossa, Philadelphia Police.

The truck has a unique shape similar to a truck from the 60s. Detectives hope someone will recognize the pickup and call in.

"We never stop looking, we never stop investigating so the sooner we get information the better - that's why we're asking for the public's help," said Sgt. Rossa.

Action News spoke with the Pozzi family the day after the deadly hit-and-run. Her grieving mother hopes the driver is caught.

"If anybody can please help. If you're a mother, you'll know what I'm going through," said Anna Pozzi, victim's mother.

Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle is urged to contact Philadelphia Police.
