New Castle County Police have released surveillance video the suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that severely injured a 12-year-old boy.

Detectives were able to locate the vehicle and subsequently determined Williams was driving it when she struck 12-year-old Bryan Richards.

New Castle County Police say it was about 5:40 p.m. last Monday when Richards was struck by the hit-and-run driver as he attempted to cross the unit block of Memorial Drive, just off Route 13 in Minquadale, Delaware.

He was taken to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in guarded, but stable condition with multiple, severe injuries.

Action News spoke with Bryan's mother Sheena Kanich last week.

"It's Christmas time. I have a 12-year-old boy in the hospital at Christmas time, and that's gonna be hard," Kanich said.

Bryan's mom says he faces a long road of surgeries, and will probably remain hospitalized at least until January.
