Camden County officials say someone opened fire on a patrol car in Winslow Township, New Jersey.

WINSLOW TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Camden County officials say someone opened fire on a patrol car in Winslow Township, New Jersey.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Erial Road near New Brooklyn Park.

Officials say an officer in a marked vehicle was on routine patrol when a bullet pierced the windshield.

The officer was not hurt and he pulled over and called for assistance.

Dozens of officers combed the park and the surrounding area, but did not find a suspect.

The incident remains under investigation.
