Suspect in custody after bedroom set on fire in Logan

An arson investigation is underway after a house fire in Philadelphia's Logan section early Wednesday morning.

LOGAN (WPVI) -- An arson investigation is underway after a house fire in Philadelphia's Logan section early Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke around 1:45 a.m. on the 1600 block of West Nedro Avenue.

Officials say someone set fire to a second floor bedroom.

It took firefighters about a half hour to get the flames under control.

A male was taken into custody.

Police say the suspect's roommate suffered smoke inhalation and a trauma injury. He had to be treated at the hospital.

So far, there is no word on his condition.
