Suspect sought after woman killed in Kensington

KENSINGTON -- Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was killed on Saturday night in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of North 5th Street.

Officers located the a 47-year-old woman in the living room suffering from stab wounds to the left side of her head and the right side of her neck.

The woman was transported to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her identity is not available at this time, pending family notification.

Investigators say they are looking for a man in his 40s who knew the victim.
