Suspicious package found outside Atlantic Co. building declared safe

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say the suspicious package has been rendered safe that was found outside the Atlantic County building.

It happened around 10 a.m. Friday along the 1300 block of Atlantic Avenue.

The package was found between the Atlantic County building and a bank in the alleyway.

It's not clear on what the package contained, but it's not dangerous.

The bomb squad arrived to the scene to investigate.

There were no injuries reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
