UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- A suspicious suitcase prompted evacuations in the University City section of Philadelphia.

It happened at 2 a.m. Tuesday after a detective noticed a red suitcase with something white hanging out of it in the 3200 block of Arch Street at 2am.

The Drexel University Police station was evacuated along with another office building on the block, and Market Street was shut down near 32nd Street as a precaution.

The Philadelphia Police Bomb Unit arrived.

Technicians discovered the suitcase contained only clothes, with some toilet paper sticking out of it.

Police say a man was caught on surveillance video leaving it on the sidewalk.

There have been no arrests.
