SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- In Switzerland, the largest human Ebola vaccine trial is getting underway.

120 volunteers will get the vaccine to determine if it's safeand figure out the right dose.

Results should be available by December.

And in West Africa, officials say Liberia is making some progress, but the crisis in Sierra Leone seems to be getting worse.

Local volunteers in Southwest Philadelphia said a prayer Thursday as they loaded donated gloves, masks, and other supplies onto a shipping container heading to Sierra Leone.

They were collected from churches, hospitals, and residents.

The group says more is needed, not just medical gear, but basics like food, water, and blankets.
