Teen attacked, robbed while exiting subway in North Philadelphia

Police are searching for three teenagers who attacked and robbed another teen as he exited a Broad Street Line subway station in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for three teenagers who attacked and robbed another teen as he exited a Broad Street Line subway station in North Philadelphia.

The incident happened on October 30 around 3:30 p.m.

Police say a 17-year-old victim was leaving the Broad Street Line Erie station located on the 3700 block of North Broad Street when he was approached by a group of teenagers.

One of the teens stopped the turnstile so the victim couldn't exit the station.

As the victim confronted the suspect, he was punched in the jaw and knocked down on the ground.

A second suspect began kicking him and when the victim stood up, a third suspect stole his cell phone.

The trio fled in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 16-17 years-of-age, 5'6", 130lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white letters on the back, and tan Khakis.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 16 years-of-age, 5'8", 145lbs., light complected, mole above his lip, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, and tan pants.

The third suspect is described as a black male, 15 years-of-age, 5'6", 120lbs., light complected, freckles, wearing a red and black checker hooded sweat shirt, and a Kufi cap.
