Teen hurt after close call with train in Darby Borough

DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A 16-year-old suffered some minor injuries after a close call with a train in Darby Borough, Delaware County.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday along the train tracks at 6th and Main streets.

Authorities say the teen was with a group of friends when he dropped his shirt near the tracks.

He went back to retrieve it and was brushed by a passing train.

The teen was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with a few bruises.

No one else was harmed.
