Teen shot and killed in Point Breeze identified

Police have released the name of the teen who was shot and killed in Philadelphia's Point Breeze section.

The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 1500 block of South 21st Street.

Officers arrived to find bullets in the side of a home. The gunman allegedly was shooting from across the street when the teen was struck.

The victim, 16-year-old Damien James, was rushed to Methodist Hospital by his mother. He was later pronounced dead.

Police are hoping the cameras in the area will provide additional clues.

No word on any arrests or a possible motive.
