Teen shot in the chest in Brewerytown

BREWERYTOWN (WPVI) -- Police say an 18-year-old male was shot in the chest in the Philadelphia's Brewerytown section early Thursday morning.

The shooting happened just past midnight on West Stiles Street near 28th Street.

According to police, the victim was shot once in the chest.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

So far, there are no arrests or word on a motive.

The victim's name has not been released.

Police are investigating.
