A teen was shot while riding a bike in New Castle, Delaware.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A teen was shot while riding a bike in New Castle, Delaware.

Police found nine gun shell casings at that scene.

They say the 16-year-old was on his bike on Route 273 near the Georgetown Village Apartments at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, when he was shot three times in the legs.

He was able to ride to his home nearby and call police.

Crews rushed him to the hospital in stable condition.
